What players pay and what you receive: the all-in price

In short

  • You set your base price (€20/h, say). Players always see the all-in price in the app: standard +10% = €22.00, Pro subscribers +5% = €21.00.
  • The service fee is paid by the player on top. It is not deducted from you. You receive your base price minus your commission under your plan.
  • Walk-ins entered by your own staff: 0% commission and 0% service fee at launch.

How the price in the app is built

You maintain your prices: a base price per hour, optionally plus pricing rules such as peak or holiday surcharges. openmatch takes whichever slot price applies and calculates the price players see, with the service fee already included, so there is no surprise at checkout. Standard players pay +10%, Pro subscribers +5%. The fee is rounded to the cent and then added: on a €19.90 base price, 10% works out to €1.99, so the player sees €21.89. Free slots stay free, because no fee is added to €0.

Players never see the fee as a separate line item. Everywhere in the app there is a single price, and only at payment does the note "service fee & tax incl." appear. legal review pending The Terms are what binds.

BookingFlow: slot price as the player sees it (all-in)

Worked example: €20/hour base price

Player pays You receive
Standard player (+10%) €22.00 €20.00 minus commission under your plan
Pro player (+5%) €21.00 €20.00 minus commission under your plan
Walk-in through your staff €20.00 €20.00, at 0% commission at launch

Two things are hiding in that table. First: the service fee is paid by the player, not by you. It sits on top of your price and is never taken out of it. Second: for your payout it makes no difference whether a standard or a Pro player books, because you receive the same either way. The only deduction is your commission under your plan, and that is locked in at the moment of each booking, so later plan changes do not affect past bookings.

Never quote players your list price

Your price list says €20, and the app shows the player €22.00 (or €21.00 with Pro). If you say "twenty euros" at the counter or on the phone, the app suddenly looks more expensive and you end up in a conversation you did not need to have. The rule of thumb: the price in your dashboard and in every operator view is always your bare base price, without the service fee. Your payout is that amount minus your commission under your plan. The price a player pays is shown to them by their own app, matched to their subscription.

Walk-ins: your guests, your terms

When your staff enter a guest on site, the launch terms are 0% commission and 0% service fee. The guest pays exactly your base price and you keep all of it. These bookings run as their own channel ("walk-in") and appear cleanly separated in your reporting.
