In short
- You do not have to cancel anything: openmatch can connect to your existing system or your calendar while openmatch stays your system of record.
- Bookings from your system always reliably block openmatch courts. Whether openmatch bookings appear in your system in return depends on what your system technically allows.
- If a court should ever be double-booked anyway, openmatch cancels and refunds automatically. Nobody is charged twice and there is nothing for you to do.
Not a wizard, a conversation
There is no "Connect now" button in your dashboard. The connection is deliberately not a self-service feature; we set it up together with you, court by court. Just get in touch if you currently use another booking system or simply a calendar and do not want to move over completely straight away. openmatch stays your master calendar throughout: the connection is a bridge, not a replacement.

A plain calendar feed carries one direction only: we read what happens at your end but cannot write anything back. You then see those openmatch bookings in the openmatch app, not in your old tool. Systems with an interface of their own can also do the return direction, and we check that together during setup.
The safety net
Two systems running in parallel mean that a court can, in theory, briefly be double-booked before the sync catches up. There is a fixed rule for exactly that case: the affected openmatch booking is cancelled automatically and the customer gets their money back legal review pending. No call to make, nothing to explain, nobody to placate. For refund details the Terms are what binds.
